She was predeceased by: her parents, Leigh Kirkland and Ruth Kirkland (Risser); and her siblings, John Kirkland and Ruth Torsello. She is survived by: her children, Michele C. Heinaman (Mike) of Mechanicsburg, Mitchel C. Shaffer (Kelly) of Harrisburg, Melissa C. Moyer (Dan) of Rio Grande and Michael C. Shaffer (Sarah) of Camp Hill; her siblings, Genevieve Shaffer of Gettysburg, Merle Kirkland of Monet, MO, Leigh Douglas Kirkland of Dillsburg and Jim Kirkland of Watford City, ND; her grandchildren, Raechel, Leah and Derek; her great grandchildren, Kayla, Jillian, Irelyn, Liam and Levi; and her great great grandchild Dahlia.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc. (30 N Chestnut St, Dillsburg, PA 17019). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
