He was predeceased by: his father Rolland Schirmer. He is survived by: his mother Diane Trask Schirmer; his children, Tasha Walter (Cody), Jennifer Lucas (Greg) and Joseph Dempsey (Melody); and his brother Douglas Schirmer of Eugene, OR.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Veterans Hospital of your choice.
