The passing of Thora P. Schweitzer of Meadville, Pennsylvania, born in Blooming Valley, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on August 26, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Pierce and Cynthia Pierce (Roudebush); her husband Myles A. Schweitzer; her daughter Marjorie Vaughn; her brother Harry Pierce; and her siblings-in-law, Lenore Russell, Nita Pierce, Roger Schweitzer and Frank Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Schweitzer (Chris), Sara "Sally" Ramaley of Saegertown and Jane Schwab (Butch) of Meadville; her sister Joanna Levenworth; and her sisters-in-law, Martha Lewis of Hamden, CT and June Bruner (Donald) of Somerset, PA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
