It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Gurnee (Meadville, Pennsylvania), born in Plumville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 22, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Brady Myers and Nettie Keener Myers; her husband Richard E. Gurnee; and her siblings, Jim Myers, Charlotte Myers and Helen Boughner McIntosh.
She is survived by: her children, Ruby Louise Mattocks (Keith) of Texas, Jim (Mary Lou) of Meadville, PA and Tamara Sue Cohen (Marc) of Texas; and her grandchildren, Beth Gurnee of Meadville, Rev. Byron Gurnee of Albion, PA, Rick Mattocks, Keith "Shorty" Mattocks and Summers Scoggins of Texas. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Meadville Wesleyan Methodist Church or to the Gideons International, PO Box 349, Meadville, PA 16335.
