He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence DeWoody and Winifred DeWoody (Loper); his wife Sarah Leonheart; his great grandchild Madison "Maddie" Johnson; and his sisters, Sandy and Judy.
He is survived by: his children, Dave DeWoody (Cindy) of Saegertown, Rona Johnson (David) of Meadville, Carl DeWoody (Mary) of Saegertown and Rita Yurcak (Michael) of Cambridge Springs; his grandchildren, Lori Connick, Julie Moses (Manny), Jeremy DeWoody (Becki Dithrich), Kevin Johnson (Holly), Eric Johnson (Michele), Joseph DeWoody (Courtney), Amy Dunn, Heather Harris, Donell Smiley (George) and Nicole Franz (Carl); and his sister Lois Peters of Meadville. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Calendar Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (404 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
