She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther G. Thompson and Blanche Anne Thompson (Taggart); and her siblings, Russell Tynes, Clarence Thompson, Bobbie Thompson, Billy Thompson and Bernice Thompson.

She is survived by: her children, Tarenza Peterson, Sabrna Thompson and William Bivens; and her siblings, Bernard Thompson, Garnetta King and Alice Thompson. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
