He was predeceased by: his parents, George Thomas and Bertha Thomas (McNamara); his brothers, Carl and Robert Thomas; and his sister-in-law Joann.
He is survived by: his wife Roberta Thomas (Cupples); his sister Marlene Santanello; his nieces and nephews, Rex, Sherry, Richard and Jude Thomas; his godchildren, Maria Furno and Terry Favire; and his close friends, Judge Michael Palmisano, John Parise and Joe Furno. He is also survived by four grandchildren; two great grand children and eleven nieces and nephews.
