He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Jones and Elizabeth "Betty" Jones; and his siblings, Diane Ditch and Mark "Jimmy" Jones. He is survived by: his close friend Cheryl Dougherty; his grandson James "Bubby" Dougherty of Sykesville; his siblings, Michael Ramella (Roxanne) of Meadville, Guila Almon (Jerome) of Conneautville and Kathleen Jones of Meadville; his nieces and nephews, Missy Campbell, Regina Harwood (Robert), Troy Campbell (Cosset), Michelle Komisarski (Kevin), Jacqueline Richardt (Christopher), Michael Almon (Holly), Christopher Jones (Heather), Kevin Jones, Tammy Rhoads (Bob), Heather Luper (Doug) and Brandon Ditch; his close friend Dave Costa; and also, Trevor Dougherty (Jessica) of Sykesville and Amber Dougherty of Meadville.
