It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Frances Filson of Meadville, Pennsylvania, born in Erie, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 5, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Philip and Jessie Van Geem McGovern; her husband Stuart H. Filson; and her sisters, Harriet McGovern, Martha Brydon and Teresa McGovern.
She is survived by: her sister Alice Butt; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Wilkinson (Jack) of Meadville, James Brydon (Lisa) of Crofton, MD, Mark McGovern (Karen), Terry Butt, Cathie Clayton (John), Laura Faulkner (Dennis) and Douglas Butt.
