Mark Humes Obituary

MEADVILLE, PA - Mark Edward Humes, age 62, formerly of Warren, OH passed away unexpectedly at his residence surrounded by loved ones on June 13, 2020. He was born on August 9, 1957 in Youngstown, OH to Carole N. (Kindervater) Humes and the late Richard K. Humes. Mark was a 1976 Warren Western Reserve High School graduate.

Upon graduation, he was employed by ConRail in the Maintenance of Way Department prior to becoming disabled. He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God and enjoyed watching their streaming services online from home. Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time outdoors and simply being in the company of others, sharing laughter and friendship.

Anyone that knew Mark, knew that he would go out of his way to help others. He was a loving, compassionate man with a heart of gold. Mark is survived by one son, Marc (Alison) Humes of Sharon, PA; his mother, Carole Humes and brother, John Humes both of Meadville, PA; sister, Sharleen (William) Johnson of Burgettstown, PA; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Taylor of Fennelton, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Cheryl Ann Taylor. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday June 28 from 1:30-2:30 pm at New Beginnings Church of God, 13226 Leslie Rd., Meadville, PA 16335. Celebration of Life service will take place at 2:30 pm with Pastor Curtis Clark officiating. Friends and family are cordially invited to join the family for a meal and fellowship immediately following the service to continue Mark's Celebration of Life at 23921 Hunter Rd., Meadville, PA 16335.
