He was predeceased by: his father James R. Nicholson; his stepfather P. Richard Thomas; his brother Mark Nicholson; his aunts, Gleyn Hinds and Kathryn Stewart; his uncle Kenneth Kightlinger; his extended family Maureen Kightlinger; his grandparents, Raymond, Rita Davidson, William and Marie Nicholson; and his stepbrother David Thomas.
He is survived by: his mother Rosemary Davidson Nicholson (Thomas); his siblings, Kathleen Mahon (Daniel) of Wexford, Brian Nicholson of Conneaut Lake and Jeffrey Nicholson of Meadville; his nieces, Claire Nicholson, Shea and Delainey Mahon; his aunt Geraldine Kightlinger; his uncle James Stewart; his cousins, Susan Troutner (Gary), Cynthia Yoder (Scott) and Robert Kightlinger; his stepsisters, Sally Pedon and Carrie Thomas (David Farrington); and his sister-in-law Susan Thomas.
