He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Shilling and Mary Shilling (Styer); his stepfather William Schlachter; his siblings, Mary "Edith" Shuffstall, Lois Peterson and Duane Shilling; and his grandson Tyler Shilling.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Consla; his children, Lesa Cornell (Robert) of Pennhook, VA, Monica Zapia, Jr. (Joseph) of Lowellville, OH and Aaron Shilling (Lacey); his sister Margaret Gevin; his grandchildren, Christopher Cornell (Adrielle), Bailey Shilling and Mirissa Legare (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Ridge and Wrenley.
