He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Frey, Sr. and Iona L. Phipps Frey; his sisters, Andrea Ritchie and Jean Bogart; and his grandson Jeremy Frey.
He is survived by: his close friend Judy Leonhart of Meadville; his children, Karen Frey Dividio of Meadville, John Frey III (Amy) of Pittsburgh and Robert Frey of Meadville; and his granddaughter Jennifer Dividio (Jackie) of Ohio.
