James Nelson Reeb Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Nelson Reeb (Meadville, Pennsylvania), born in Buffalo, New York, who passed away on March 28, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Virginia Irene Goodwill (Ginny); his son John Jacob "Buzz" Reeb; and his parents, James Jacob Reeb and Geraldine Cione Cahalan. He is survived by: his wife Bridgette; his sister Jerri Fiolek; his brother-in-law Robert; his nephews, James Nelson II and Jason; his daughters-in-law, Susan and Angela; his grandchildren, James Nelson III, Maia, Jacob, Zachary, Hannah, Samuel, Grace and Eleanor; and his great grandchildren, Stiorra and Rosalina.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Calendar Stephen P. Mizner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. (404 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Church (346 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 378 Chestnut St, Meadville, PA 16335.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations to Grace Unlimited Foundation (for the people of his beloved Crawford County and in honor of his commitment to helping those in recovery from substance use disorder) or the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (for the Sailors he loves).
