He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis L. Alexander and Doris L. Alexander (Fitzgerald); and his siblings, Audrey Hagen, Richard and David "Mike" Alexander.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Groshner; his daughters, Kris Duffy (Pete) of Anchorage, AK and April Metzgar (David) of Meadville; and his grandchildren, Drake Duffy (Jillian), Keagan Duffy, Todd Tirums, Logan Tirums (Summer States), Allison Duffy and Tyler Duffy.

Due to Covid concerns, the family asks that face masks are worn.
