It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald D. Smith (Meadville, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Smith and Hilda Smith (King); his wife Esther Eaton; his sons, Bradley Smith and Gerald Smith, Jr.; and his siblings, Robert Smith and Donna Hartzell.
He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia Rockwell of Meadville and Howard Smith of Douglasville, GA; his cousins, Jamie Rockwell (Brenda, family: Ben, Abby, Andy) and Tricia Rockwell (Tim, family: Lexi, DeMarcus, Miley); and his extended family, Terri Zoner, Eileen Kotlar, Sandy Hanstine, Suzy Hanzlik, Scott Smith, Brian Hartzell, Randy Hartzell, Ronnie Hartzell and Bobby Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
