He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Russell and Clara Eleanor Clayton (Egbert); and his sister Marylyn Jacobs (Lloyd). He is survived by: his wife Leona Clayton (Radke); his children, Todd Clayton of Meadville and Sheri Stritch (David) of Andover, OH; his grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cody), Desiree, Emilee, Erica, Sam (Lydia), Ethan, Ashley (Devin), Melissa and Alexis; and his great grandchildren, Oliver and Rowan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made in Gerald's name to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
