He is survived by: his wife Linda Hoopes Smith; his children, Barbara Lallier (Bruce), Marsha Herrera (Tony), Mark Getchell (Beverly), Cheryl Mattern (Dennis), Lisa Chivers (Jeffrey), Dale Smith (Michelle), Thomas Smith, Gina Foulk and Renee Haylett (Kevin); his granddaughter Julie; his children, Justin (Shasta), Steve, Jim (Jenny), Amy (John), Erin (Brantley), Ellen (Jayson), Darek, John, Elaine, Sarah (Brian), Crystal, Jeffrey, Kyle (Becca), Ryan (Samantha), Darren (Taylor), Dereck, Morgan (Drew), Matthew, Benjamin and Lauren; and his son-in-law Larry. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Art's name to the Crawford County Scuba Team, Crawford County Humane Society, or the charity of one's choice.
