He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Oppel and Bernice Oppel (Gearhart). He is survived by: his wife Dolores J. O'Donnell; his children, Patricia A. Lambert (Richard), Laurie J. Oppel (Patrick Hurley), Richard L. (Mary Jo) of Danville, David P. (Deborah) of Duncansville, George A. (Anita), Steven J. (Allyson) of Hollidaysburg and Todd M. (Leann) of Altoona; and his sisters, Marietta Berkheimer, Carolyn Crissman and Helen Smith. He is also survived by 51 grandchildren.
