She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald O. Thompson Sr. and Clara M. Thompson (Drysdale). She is survived by: her husband Robert C. Heimbach; her children, Shirley A. Reid of McVeytown, Brenda L. Shipe (Jeff) of Lewistown and Debra Wynn-Curry of McVeytown; her stepdaughter Linda Bair of Aaronsburg; and her siblings, Gerald O. Thompson, Jr. of West Virginia, Pamela Sechrist of McVeytown and Bruce Thompson (Eva) of Livermore, Maine.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren.
