He was predeceased by: his mother Lisa J. Metz (Harpster); his grandparents, Rolston, Jenny Harpster, Clyde E. and Joan Metz; and his siblings, Alichia Chandler and Jeremy D. Metz.

He is survived by: his father David K. Metz; his stepmother Jodene C. Metz; and his siblings, Jonathan Hartley of Mass, Jessica Kline of Lewistown, Gracelyn Metz, Lillian Metz and Addlyn Metz of McVeytown.
