He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta A. Smith (Peg); his parents, Elmer J. Smith and Grace M. Smith (Sadler); his daughter Donna "Noonie" Harlacher; and his sisters, Mildred Sentz, Genevieve Bolin, Ruth Moore, Rita Kuhn, Pauline Eline, Threasa Overbaugh and Dorothy Matthews.
He is survived by: his son Tony; his children-in-law, Donna Smith of McSherrystown and Wade Harlacher of Gettysburg; his grandsons, Ryan (Marie Smith) of Hanover, PA, Ty (Suzi Harlacher) of Hanover, PA and Jerrod (Emily Smith) of Hanover, PA; his great grandchildren, Leland Smith of Hanover, PA, Brian Harlacher of Hanover, PA, Rowan of Hanover, PA and Adelynn Smith of Hanover, PA; his brother Bernard Smith of York, PA; and his caregiver Anthony Agyiri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
