It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Burnell F. Hockensmith of McSherrystown, Pennsylvania, born in Hanover, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 28, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert James and Nellie Small Hockensmith; and his siblings, Nelson Hockensmith, Cindy Wilson and Myrtle Hale.
He is survived by: his significant other Ruth I. Hockensmith (Sipling); his children, David W. Pascoe (Rosa) of Spring Grove, Barbara J. Griffie (Larry) of Hanover, Brenda K. Reifsnider (Thomas) of Hanover, Tina M. Sipling of McSherrystown and Irene L. Pascoe (Robert Altland) of Hanover; his grandchildren, Amy, Shawn, Amanda, Kevin, Frankie, Hunter, Levon, Shauna, Noah, Joshua and Emma; and his sisters, Delores Nelson, Anna Lecrone-Boggs, Arlene Noel and Jane Hall. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
