He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Margaret (Peggy Collins); his parents, Hugh McLinden and Henrietta McLinden; and his brothers, Hugh (Jocelyn) and Dennis McLinden.
He is survived by: his brother Torrance McLinden (Shirley) of Sarasota, Florida.; his children, Molly Scherer (David), Julie Jacob (Steve), Louis Jr. (Jill), Dennis II (Linda) and Terrence McLinden (Stacy); his grandchildren, Mary Margaret Hustava (Michael), Patrick (Kelsey), Katie Scherer, Kara Liebegott (Jonathan), Caylie Meyer (Tim), Stephen Jr., Maura Jacob, Meghan, Louis III, Anna, Ryan, Luke McLinden, Abigail McNeely (Shane), Madeline, Jacob McLinden, Terrence Jr., Leigh and Colin McLinden; his great grandchildren, Marge, Lucille Hustava, Eloise and Collins Liebegott; and his sisters-in-law, Virginia Burns and Barbara Michener. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
