He is survived by: his parents, Ellen Bobick (Robert) and John Hegedus; his daughter Melanie Hegedus; his nephew Jackson Hegedus; his brother Joseph Hegedus; and his aunts and uncles, Lisa Engel, Paula Sims, David Sims, Joseph Hegedus and James Hegedus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DePaul School for Hearing and Speech, http://www.depaulhearingandspeech.org or a trust fund set up for Melanie.
