Janet M. Stept Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet M. Stept of McMurray, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 19, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Janet may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Meyer and Mercedes Meyer; her husband Dr. William Stept; and her brothers, Ralph Meyer, Robert Meyer and Richard Meyer.
She is survived by: her son James Gillespie (Laurie); her sister Barbara Langan; her grandchildren, Ryan Gillespie (Heather) and Abigail Gillespie; and her great grandchild Emerson James Gillespie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Benedict the Abbot Church (120 Abington Dr, McMurray, PA 15317).
