He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Schultz; his parents, James L. Schultz and Helen Molchin Schultz Petrovich; and his sister Regina Schultz Bennett (Leslie). He is survived by: his siblings, Joanne Petrovich Paisley (Jeffery), Miles Petrovich (Tracy) and Ronald Petrovich. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
