She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Van and Mollie Blanche Beasley (Carpenter); her husband William Paul Cottrell; her daughter Janet Marie Sheaffer; and her siblings, Imojean Wooten, Mae Eshleman, Virgil J. Beasley, Sr., Thomas Beasley and Billy Beasley. She is also survived by five grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
