He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Knight and Katherine Knight (Shorter); his spouse Azzie Knight (Jackson); his sons, Willie, Larry, Cornelius, Lougene and William; and his grandchildren, Azzie Ball, Shakeem Gustave and Dolores English.
He is survived by: his children, Ulysses Knight, Earl Knight, James Knight, Donna Knight, Vivian Ball (Paul), Vivin Mills, Katherine Parr and Dorothy Knight; his brother Richard Knight; and his friend Dorothy Cornish. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
