It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Wakefield (McKeesport, Pennsylvania), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bales M. Marks and Flora I. Marks (McCracken); her husband Theodore Wakefield; her son-in-law Raymond L. Olivere; her brother Paul; and her siblings-in-law, Gladys Marks and Clyde Shively.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Olivere Wakefield of Versailles, Sarajaine Vay (Nick) of Lincoln Boro and David Wakefield (Fran) of Joelton, TN; her grandchildren, Nick Vay (Crystal) of Brandon, UK, Mike Vay (Kara) of Glassport, Luke Vay of Lincoln Boro and Beth Vay of Catonsville, MD; her great grandchildren, Hazel, Addison, Henrietta and Eliana Vay; and her sister Florence Shively of White Oak. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
