He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schmidt and Marybell Schmidt; and his siblings, Mary Jane Tauber, Bill Schmidt and David Schmidt.
He is survived by: his siblings, Colleen Morgan (late Michael) and Rev. Carl Schmidt (Janet); his niece Beth Pienkoski (Joe); and his great-nephews, Dustin and Trevor Pienkoski. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, friends.
