He was predeceased by: his parents, William Maxwell Shearer and Margaret Shearer-Zawasky (Ord); his stepson Joshua McCann Okert; his sisters, Moira Brown and Norma Heatherington; his stepfather Gordon "Butch" Zawasky; his nephew Gary Shearer; and his brothers-in-law, John R. Kudrec, III and Larry Gloor.
He is survived by: his fiancée Judy Barber (Oddo); his daughter Christina Shearer (Eka Jvania) of Glenshaw; his stepchildren, Jeremiah Okert and Heather Zelahy; his goddaughter Cassandra Oddo; his siblings, Nancy Gloor of Conroe, TX, Sandra Mozes of McKeesport, Donna Heatherington of Elizabeth and Brian Shearer of McKeesport; his brothers-in-law, John Tsykiewicz, James Brown, Kirk Simmons, Robert Oddo, Richard Oddo and Dion Oddo; and his friend Steve Mozes. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Willig Funeral Home & Crematory (220 9th St, McKeesport, PA 15132). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 4:00 PM.
