He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" June Gielata; and his sisters, Mary Fidora, Sally Krupzig, Helen Craig and Bernie Borkowski.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael E. Gielata (Patti), Kevin E. Gielata (Vicki) and Eric J. Gielata (Melissa); his grandchildren, Katie, Michael (Emma), Tyler, Isaac, Shelby and Lucas; his great grandchildren, Reese and Penn; his siblings-in-law, Bill Snyder (Ruth Ann), Jane Snyder, Joyce Snyder and Jack Snyder (Pam); and also Diane. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members.
