He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Carlowski and Martha Carlowski (Gniewkowski); his wife Joanne Carlowski (Frankl); and his sister Diane Lewis (Sonny). He is survived by: his stepfather George Miller; his children, Jennifer Sherman (Matt) and James Carlowski (Amy); his sister Maureen Altenbaugh (Ed); his grandsons, Jacob, Christopher Sherman and Garrett Carlowski; and his brothers-in-law, William Frankl and Robert Frankl (Patty).
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William Slater Ll Funeral Service (1650 Greentree Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (5718 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (16 Middletown Rd, McKees Rocks, PA 15136).
Jim would have preferred no flowers and due to his late wife Joanne's repeatedly sending cows and goats to all of the communities in Africa, which greatly annoyed him, charitable donations are not necessary, but could be sent to Little Sisters of the Poor.
