Brian R Hayes Obituary
Brian R. Hayes age 56 of McKean passed away on April, 2 2023 at home with his partner and daughter by his side after a 3 year courageous battle with Pancreatic cancer. He was born on February 7, 1967 in Erie, Pa to Richard and Dorothy (Weyeneth) Hayes of Albion, Pa.
He graduated from Northwestern high school in 1985. He last worked at Meadow brook dairy in Erie until the plant closed.
Brian enjoyed watching nascar and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He loved being outside and doing things like hunting, fishing and traveling. He was well known for his humor and quick whit and love for scratch off loto. Becoming a grandfather was his greatest joy and he deeply loved his grand babies.
He was preceded in death by his aunts, Janet Northrop and Janet Raffensberger, Uncle William Weyeneth, and two cousins Barry Blystone and Jack Raffensberger.
Brian is survived by his loving partner John Curtis of McKean Pa, daughter Ashley (Zack) Switzer of Mckean Pa, and brother Shawn Hayes (Tom Landfried) of Girard Pa and three grandchildren Madi, Ellie, Bryson. Further surviving are Johns children, Monica Curtis, Chris Curtis, and Kelly (Scott) Sharrer and 3 grandchildren James, Grace and Porter.
Calling hours will be Thursday April 6, 2023 from 2-6pm with a sermon to follow at 6.
