He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace L. Sturgeon and Cora Mae Wilson Sturgeon; his wife Nancy A. Smith Sturgeon; his daughter Darcy Lynn Sturgeon; and his brother Wilson L. Sturgeon (Lydia).
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Deveaney (late Kurt Ashenfelter), Jim Sturgeon and Jeffrey Sturgeon (Brenda); his grandchildren, Tim, Brandon (Amanda), Jeffrey Deveaney (Allishia), Rachael Kelly (Bob) and Layton Sturgeon; his great grandchildren, Patrick, Paislee Kelly, Hayden James Deveaney, Harmony and Kais; and his brother Thomas Sturgeon (Joan).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A masonic service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Oakdale Masonic Lodge #669. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Robert W. Little Funeral Service Inc. (314 W Lincoln Ave, McDonald, PA 15057).
