He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gardiner and Lydia Mae Nevergall Gardiner; and his wife Lois Marlene Donaldson. He is survived by: his children, Amy Jo Gardiner, Joseph Richard Gardiner (Mary Lee) and Timothy Alan Gardiner (Sheila). He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
