She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, D. Arthur Simpson and Sara Bigger Simpson; her son Mark Slack (Jamie); her granddaughters, Marah Slack and Macey Murphy (Jake); her brother John B. Simpson (Linda); her nephews, John Michael and Christopher Simpson; and her great-nieces, Mya, Ava, Willow and Haddie Simpson. She was also cherished by Mother and Grammie, to her son, daughter-in-law and twin granddaughters.
Because of her love of children, Janet requested that in lieu of flowers donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or McDonald Presbyterian Church Shoebox Project.
