He was predeceased by: his parents, Danie Kemp and Pauline V. Smith; his uncle Ray Kemp; his wife Dr. Cassandra Richardson Kemp; his siblings, Lenora Kemp and Odessa Kemp; and his nephew Eric Armstrong.
He is survived by: his former wife Lorene D. "Peaches" Smith Harris; his children, Daniel A. Kemp, Jr., Dayna L. Kemp, Mark Perkins (Melanie) and Brandi King Overton (Kareef); his sister Theresa I. Armstrong; his grandchildren, Kamryn Bryce Kemp, Jada Kemp Langley, Josiah Weaver, Maleeka Lee-Perkins, Naseem Lee-Perkins and Harper King Overton; his nephew Todd Kemp (Traci McDonald); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Alexcia Kemp, Ariana Kemp and Olivia Kemp; and also, Eddie and Christina Gibbs.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of McDonald (141 N McDonald St, McDonald, PA 15057). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Robinson's Run Cemetery (504 Sunset Ln, McDonald, PA 15057).
