He was predeceased by: his parents, Anne Metz (Lammie) and Harold A. Metz; his son Samuel A. Metz Jr.; and his brother Steve Metz. He is survived by: his wife Sherry D. Metz (Hann); his daughter Sherri S.; his siblings, David, William Metz of McConnellsburg, PA, Harold and Sheila; and his grandchildren, Madison Bailey, Cameron Bailey, Samantha Metz and Shiloh Huntsberry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
