He was predeceased by: his siblings, Colleen Layton and Todd Shimer. He is survived by: his wife Jody Shimer (Stains); his daughters, Seleen Shives (Tony) and Cara Truax (Scott); and his brothers, Martin Shimer and Kent Shimer.
