He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Souders and Edna Rummel Souders; his children, Earl Souders, Zilla Souders and Tim Souders; and his siblings, Harold, Charles, Richard, Milton, Tom Souders, Eva Stoner, Myrtle Seville, Mary Willdoner and Helen House.
He is survived by: his children, Helen Straley of West Virginia and Joseph Souders Jr. of York, PA.. He is also survived by 10 nephews and 10 nieces.
