He was predeceased by: his parents, Frankie R. Blades and Dolores Mosley Blades. He is survived by: his siblings, Cody Blades (Debbie) of Brunswick, GA and Robin Blades Twilley (Steven) of Milford, DE; and his children, Chelsea Blades of McConnellsburg, PA, Caitlin Blades of Bennett, CO and Jarrett Blades of St. Thomas, PA. He is also survived by his four grandchildren.
