He was predeceased by: his parents, Cam Mellott and Lucy Richards Mellott; his wife Betty Mellott; and his siblings, Jim Mellott, Harry Mellott, Helen Johnston, Martha Mowen, Dorothy McQuade, Carl Eugene and Lena Marden.
He is survived by: his sisters, Esther Green and Wava Hess; his niece Renee K Brink; and also Robert Koontz. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
