He was predeceased by: his mother Blanche Hamil; his granddaughter Danielle F. Clapsadle; and his former wife D. Sue Strait. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte A. Strait (Hixson); his sons, Donald A. Strait (Doreen) of Chambersburg, PA, Todd Strait (BJ) of McConnellsburg, PA, Zachary Deane Wilt (Solvei) of Abbottstown, PA and Jared Hixon Wilt (Bobbi Jo) of Gardners, PA; and his siblings, Larry Hamil (Connie) of Needmore, PA and Bonnie Buterbaugh (Paul) of McConnellsburg, PA.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
