He was predeceased by: his parents, George Deshong and Goldie Deshong (Carbaugh); his grandson Chad Lininger; and his siblings, Blaine Deshong, Marvin Deshong and Jean Hess.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Deshong of McConnellsburg, PA; his child Terry; his grandchildren, Toby Deshong, Crystal Stepanik, Justin Black, Myrissa Curry and Courtney Vaughn; his great grandchildren, Zane Stepanik, Kiptyn Stepanik and Hayden Curry; his stepgreat-grandson Dalton Heinbaugh; and his brother Harold.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, services are private and at the convenience of the family.
