He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Michael and Evelyn I. Michael (Fasick); his siblings, James Michael Jr., Edwin Michael, Bryan Michael and Margaret W. "Nean" Hosler; and his daughter-in-law Dorothy Gladys "Candy" Michael (Rhodes).
He is survived by: his wife Linda Jane Michael (Fetters); his children, Walter M. Michael Jr. of McClure, David Michael Sr. (Debbie) of Lewistown and Becky Bowersox (Doug) of McClure; and his siblings, Vivienne "Sis" Willis of Dingmans Ferry, Robert Michael of Port Royal, Larry Michael (Nancy) and Sharon Hockenberry of Quakertown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
