Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Hoover of Maytown, Pennsylvania, born in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, who passed away at the age of 88, on October 8, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Hoover and Cecilia Hoover (Schmidt); his spouse Shirley Hoover (Hawthorne); his daughter Cynthia A. Wivell; and his brother Jim Hoover.

He is survived by: his sons, Steven R. Hoover (Pamela) and Scott E. Hoover (Gina); and his son-in-law Thomas M. Wivell of Gardners, PA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

COVID-19 Protocol requires masks and social distancing. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 37 East Main Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
