She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert M. Rice and Lottie May Rice (Diffenderfer); her son Scott Richard Shirk; and her siblings, Hubert, Donald, Paul Rice and Doris Justice (Rice).
She is survived by: her husband George R. "Dick" Shirk; and her children, JoNan Shirk of Maytown, Barbara Ness (Shawn) of Maytown, Jamey Shirk (Buffy) of Mount Joy and Jenniffer Smith (Erik) of Wrightsville.
