He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Kessler and Mary Sherman; and his siblings, Robert Kessler and Donna Kessler. He is survived by: his wife Frances Kay Sherman (Sebold); his children, Sandra Schneider (Robert), Donald Ray Sherman Jr., Renee Trout and Melissa Johnson (Mark); and his siblings, Betty Soom and Jimmy Kessler. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three stepchildren.
